Game Overview

With the release off Madden NFL 07 for Xbox EA Sports' highly popular football series returns for its amazing 17th season. Upgrades from last edition involve not only the expected areas of graphics and sound but in the running game as well. Players will now get to create holes in the defensive line and take control of the lead blocker for the first time. Use the right analog stick -- or, "highlight stick" -- to try out cool new moves including cutbacks, jukes, and signature moves for the featured pro stars (including MVP Shaun Alexander). Players can use the franchise mode to unlock added bonuses for your most talented stars, and use the NFL Draft Scouting System to find the stars of tomorrow. The superstar mode has been radically tweaked and will follow a star's entire history on and off the field, custom controls making the experience seem a lot more real. And of course there is the Xbox Live feature that allows game players from all over the country vie for the top spot.

Better lead blocking

The trick to effective blocking is learning when to use the different blocks. Impact Blocks (Right Analog-stick Up) are more effective if you have a size advantage against the player you are blocking, while Cut Blocks (Right Analog-stick Down) are more effective if the defender is bigger than you. Turn Blocking (White and Black) works best for offensive linemen when they are trying to create an interior hole for the running back. If you get beat and you must resort to dirty tactics, try Holding (L).

Answer the interview questions as a team player. Then when you hire an agent, more of them will want to sign with you.
